Hermana Burnham: "Christmas in Temuco"

Hola everyone! Sorry I didn't write last week. It was crazy! And we used ancient computers so I couldn't upload my pictures :( But now here I am!!!

Christmas was crazy! But Skype was so fun! It was so great to see my family and meet my adorable niece Hannah! She is the cutest! :) And to see my niece Ella. I must say, I have the cutest nieces ever. And it was also great to see the rest of my family. Skyping is so fun. Even if it makes you a little homesick afterwards.

So Temuco is CRAZY! It's a city. I am not used to that. Lots of people with lots of money who don't need church. That's always fun. It makes contacting a little hard. I do miss my little Curacautin :( The people and the members. But the members here are also super awesome! They are so sweet to us sisters and love us a lot. And we have lunch everyday! Yay for getting fat!!! But the lunches are super yummy and not super gigantic. That's a plus.

My companion is Hermana Vargas from Ecuador and I am finishing her training! I am her mission "dad". She is super cute. I love her a lot. She hasn't had the greatest time in the mission so I am trying my best to make it super fun for her. I do miss Hermana Rimmasch just because we had such a good time together, but I know I am here in Temuco for a reason. Oh and shout out to Blake Savage! All the people here talk about you. And Hannah Evans! They also talk about you all the time. You guys are beasts!

Christmas was great! I did get really sick after though with a double ear infection and sore throat. So I layed in bed for almost 3 days and also Hermana Garner. She was super sick too. It was great. Not really. I hated not working. But hey, watching cheesy 80's movies from the church is always super fun! Now I feel super good! I can work again!!!!

No the mission is great. The sector is hard. The area book when I got here was a DISASTER! It was so bad. I spent about a week working on it and it's getting there. We only have 2 investigators but with the holidays, they are never home. It's a hard time of year to work. That's all I have to say! But we can do it :) Hermana Vargas has such a strong testimony. I love her a whole lot.
